Makbule is 33 years old and has been living in temporary accommodation for a year and a half.
"I lost my job (and) I was not able to catch up with my rent. So, I came to the YMCA through the council in September and on the day that I came I saw the advertisement for Pivot, which I was really interested in."
"While I was doing Pivot I was keeping my mind busy, not thinking other things, negative things that will impact my health, which was good physically and mentally."
After finding a job and moving out of temporary accommodation, she hopes to set up her own social enterprise. She speaks four languages, including Turkish, Kurdish and German and loves a good romance novel. "Hopefully, I'll open my own business, maybe that's my five-year target. That would be my goal in the next five years and then live happily."
