Harry Lal and Scott Jarrett, friends from university with a passion for sustainable community-led development, launched Colcha Clothing in 2015. After a trip to Ghana and South Africa in 2015, they fell in love with the abundance of beautiful fabrics, setting up Colcha Clothing to showcase these to the world. With their team of artisans, they produce bold men's shorts, reinvesting funds from the sales of their collection straight into the communities that create them. They do this via the Colcha Club. The Colcha Club works both directly with
the local community, and through carefully selected partners, on a variety of development projects, depending on the needs of the region. Nkosi's Haven are an example of one such partner in South Africa, a visionary HIV/AIDS organisation, with which the Colcha Club collaborates to provide funding for education materials such as books and uniforms.
