This is from a limited edition of 10 prints. The dimensions are 297 x 420mm. This painting was inspired by the idea that the land has spirits within it and the animals that inhabit these wild spaces are able to sense and understand this. Beneath the dark soil during the winter, three witches sleep and wait until the time when they begin to make their way back into the world, as we know it, rather like animals that hibernate. Humans may walk over where they sleep and are clueless, yet as the time draws near for them to rise, the animals begin to gather.
