The daughter of an architect, Rene is in her nineties and lives in London. Following the death of her husband and son, she experienced a period of homelessness, but doesn’t like to dwell on misfortune. At a low point one of her friends invited her to attend an art project and she has been attending ever since. Perhaps inspired by her father, her work has an architectural quality, whether it be line drawing or collage. She works slowly and patiently due to a degenerative eye condition. Her work has been published and sold in exhibitions.
